Introducing Safe or Sound

Safe or Sound (SOS) is a versatile security alarm with some unique features and an abundance of possible applications:

• product security in shops
• equipment secuity in vunerable places such as schools, hospitals and community centres
• personal property security (e.g. luggage on a train)
• child security (in light of incidents such as James Bulger)

One of SOS's strength is its portability. It can be moved around without downgrading the level of security. This is an obvious advantage in the shop setting allowing customers to try out products with little hassle for the store assistants.

 

How it works

An SOS alarm is put around the product. The alarm is locked physically and the SOS circuitry will arm. When the product is taken out of range of the transmitter, warning beeps will start. After a few seconds of these beeps (which allows the product to be taken back into the transmitter area), the alarm will sound. This alarm will inform the security that the product has been stolen.

Removing the SOS is just as simple. The alarm is disarmed using a remote control and then unlocked with the key. The SOS is then removed from the product without alarming.

 

Getting SOS

SOS's are sold in sets. These sets include various numbers of alarms, transmitters, keys and disarming remotes. We also sell fixtures that allow the SOS to be fitted to many different objects.
